In what was a critical game in the overall picture for one of the four playoff spots from 2-4A, the Andrews Lady Mustangs outplayed the Fort Stockton Prowlers in the last two quarters by margins of 11-8 and 10-7 Friday in Fort Stockton.
The Andrews Mustangs left no doubt who the better boys basketball team was Friday in Fort Stockton with a ‘not as close as it sounds’ 65-50 district win to improve to 2 and 1 in league play.
On January 12th through the 14th, the Mustang cheer squads competed in the UIL State Spirit Championship (4A Division 1), where they placed 12th out of 76 teams.
With losses in their first three district basketball games, the Andrews Lady Mustangs were in trouble going into their home league game with Pecos here Tuesday night.
