Zandy O. Willems

Zandy O. Willems, age 55, of Allen, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022, after a race accident in Wisconsin.

He was born in Lamesa, Texas on November 14, 1966, to the late Tommy Odell and Sidney Lou (Holley) Willems. Zandy grew up a versatile athlete, playing football and baseball through high school and excelling in track and field. He loved playing and watching sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys, with his children and spending time outside with his family and friends. He spent his career in staffing, and in 2010 co-founded Eco-Staff LLC, with his friend and business partner Harry Black.

Outside of work Zandy enjoyed many hobbies, and his passion was for all things offroad. Zandy loved rock crawling and racing, and in 2018 bought his first race car and started Rufus Racing, an off-road racing team.

Zandy quickly became a known face in the Ultra4 and off-roading world because of his willingness to help everyone, his contagious laugh, and bright smile. He loved life and lived it to the fullest every single day.

Zandy is survived by his wife, Angela Morris of Allen, Texas; son, Taylor Willems and fiancé, Rainee of Josephine, Texas; daughter, McKenzi Morris and fiancé, Tyler of Farmers Branch, Texas; unborn granddaughter, Aspen Z Willems; brother, Kurt Willems of Aledo, Texas; mother-in-law, Brenda Terry; brotherinlaw, David Terry; and his numerous other family and friends.

A family and friends’ visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Turrentine- Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North Allen, TX 75013.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to one of Zandy’s favorite causes, the Texas First Responders Fund.
