Sidney “Sid” Vaughan

On Wednesday morning, October 13, 2021, Sidney “Sid” Vaughan of Andrews, Texas went to join his wife Ethel Vaughan in their heavenly home.

Sid was born on February 11, 1947 in Lubbock, Texas. He enjoyed working as a cotton ginner for many years. He also enjoyed cooking for all of his family and taking care of anyone who needed him. Sid was a loving and doting husband for 35 years to his wife Ethel Vaughan. He was also a loving father, granddad, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was a selfless man and he will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. He loved God, and his family, as well as his country.

Survived by his Children: Chad Vaughan of Andrews, Texas; Cynthia Rawls and her husband Gary Rawls of Andrews, Texas; Joy Grant and her husband Mitch Grant of Littlefield, Texas; Rhonda Travis and her husband Jimmy Travis of Andrews, Texas; Danielle Baker and her husband Steve Baker of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Niece: Cheryl Fults McDonald of Hamilton, Texas; 12 Grandchildren: Tosha Vaughan, Nathan Rawls, Daniel Rawls, Erica Wilson, Heather Zamarron, Jordan Tucker, Spencer Grant, Tanner Travis, Josh Travis, Hannah Yanez, Zane Baker, and Lauren Baker. 12 Great Grandchildren: Marley, Isaac, Reese, Holly, Makenna, Hadley, Jaxson, Allie, Barret, Daxton, Nora and Bexley. Also many nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence & Ada Reeder Vaughan; Son: Jeromy Vaughan; Siblings: Ida Mae McWilliams, Joyce Faye Fults, Virgie Weinkauf, Melba Wright, “Sonny” James Vaughan and Thomas Albert Vaughan.

Visitation will be held at McNett Funeral Home in Andrews, Texas from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2021. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Grace Baptist Church located at 507 NE 4th Street Andrews, Texas with Pastor Jamie Beard officiating, followed by a graveside service held at the Andrews County Old Cemetery.
