Matt Callaway, 46, of Andrews passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 in Andrews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 1:00 PM Sunday, December 23, 2018 at his brother’s home, Scott Callaway at 605 SE 2301, in Andrews. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. Please celebrate his life by visiting www.mcnettfuneralhome.com.

Matt was born on July 28, 1972 in Odessa to Larry Mack Callaway and Marsha Beth Harris Callaway. He was raised and attended schools in Andrews. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator and pipeline supervisor for many years with his two brothers, Chad and Scott. He was always working or tinkering outside, welding, being a mechanic, riding and working on his motorcycle, playing the guitar, and enjoyed metal hard rock and old country music. He married Sara Cross on September 17, 2011 in McCamey. He was a Christian and was preceded in death by his father in 2006.

Matt is survived by his wife, Sara Callaway of Whitesboro; mother, Marsha Callaway of Andrews; 3 children, Brett Cross and wife, Nikki, of McCamey, Taylor Syler of Whitesboro, and Kendra Cross of Whitesboro; 3 siblings, Shelley Liedle and husband, Greg, of Helena, Montana, Chad Callaway of Andrews, and Scott Callaway and wife, Teresa, of Andrews; 4 grandchildren, Alissa Harrold, Aiden Harrold, Jo Jo Cross, and Jaxon Cross; special niece that he considered like a daughter, Christine Callaway and her son, Dezman Robledo, of Andrews; and nieces and nephews, Aaron, Madison, and Jonah Callaway, Alvian Marquez, and Garnett LaTray.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
