Marshal Ipson, age 76, of Andrews, TX, passed away, Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in Andrews, TX.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Andrews Church of Christ in Andrews, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of McNett Funeral Home.

Marshal was born May 8, 1946, in Crescent City, California to Vernon Ipson and Bertha Lively Ipson. He married Mary Coronado Ipson July 23, 1983, and they have spent 39 wonderful years together. Marshal was a hardworking family man. He was unintentionally funny, and an amazing storyteller. He enjoyed going to any type of car races whether it be circle track, or drag racing, he just loved to watch it. He also loved classic cars. Marshal loved his grandchildren and was a great father. His favorite thing to say to his kids was “Let me show you how it’s done.” He was a fighter; he fought his cancer diagnosis for 6 hard years and never backed down. Marshal was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He will be dearly missed by many.

He is survived by his wife: Mary Ipson of Andrews, TX; sons: Joel Ipson and wife Yoshi of Arlington, TX; and Dustin Ipson and wife Mackenzie of Houston, TX; daughter: D’Lena Jamison and husband Kyle of Euless, TX; sister: Laverne Dudley of Medford, Oregon; grandchildren: Joshua, Eli, Aubrey, Judah, and Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marshal is preceded in death by his parents: Vernon and Bertha Ipson; and sister: Sheryl Branscum.

In Lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Arms of Hope Children’s Home Medina, Texas, Cherokee Children’s Home - Cherokee, Texas, and Lubbock Christian Children’s Home - Lubbock, Texas.
