Lovella Ruth Stephens

Lovella Ruth Stephens, 81, of Andrews, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate her life at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Marty Slaton officiating. Interment followed in the Andrews North Cemetery. Visitation was on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at McNett Funeral Home.

Lovella was born on January 13, 1942 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Joseph Alexander Wilson, Sr. and Lola Jane Carter. She married Luther Ray Stephens on June 21, 1969 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Luther and Lovella moved the family to Andrews in January of 1974. Lovella worked in the admissions office of PRMC for 25 years. She loved watching all of her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids no matter what activity they were doing. She was one of the biggest fans of the Andrews Mustangs! She also loved watching the Dallas Cowboys, bowling and Diet Dr. Pepper. Preceding her in death were her parents Joseph Wilson, Sr. and Lola Wilson, husband, Luther Stephens, brother, Joseph Wilson, Jr., son, Chris Stephens and grandchild, Cannaan Stephens.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, brothers, Thomas Wilson, Rob Wilson, Bill Wilson, sister, Loetta Poole, nephews and nieces, daughters, Richele Wright and husband Rod, Stephanie Brannan and husband Donold, Sue Ann Cornejo, Jeanna Stephens and Erin Stephens all of Andrews, Texas, 24 grandkids, 28 greatgrandkids, Minx her cat and Tango her dog.
