John, or as most people knew him, “Johnny” was born on August 31, 1958, to James Joseph Shryock and Betty Fern Watson in Olympia, Washington. He Married Lisa Ann Woolway, and they spent 25 amazing years together. He lived part of his life in Andrews, Texas and created a loving family he cared for very much. A proud Veteran of the United States Navy, he traveled the world, seeing about 13 different countries along the way. John worked as a skilled carpenter for the majority of his life and built everything from commercial buildings to milliondollar homes. Designing and building a house of his own to live in was always his dream - one he accomplished twice in his lifetime. John always needed a project, whether it was home improvement or new fitness goals, he defined what it meant to be a hard worker. He was passionate about exercise, fitness, and health. John was an avid boxing fan his whole life, and impressive on the speed bag himself! John was blessed to find joy in the simple things in life, relaxing after a long work week, watching UFC fights with his family members, and firing off the occasional rifle. He exemplified what it means to live earnestly and to treat all with kindness and respect. His smile will be greatly missed by many.
