Enitchel Edwin “Nish” Collins, 80, of Andrews, TX, passed from this life Monday, April 10, 2023, in Andrews, TX.

A Memorial Service was held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Benny Anderson officiating. Arrangements are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home.

Nish was born August 5, 1942, in Ballinger, Texas to Enitchel Collins and Charlie Lee “Kyles” Collins. He Met the love of his life Brenda Ortiz in 1998 and they have spent 25 amazing years together. Nish was a man who never met a stranger, he would say ‘you only know a stranger because you haven’t talked to them yet”. He was a hardworking family man. Nish was a pumper in the oil field for more than 25 years. Nish always enjoyed cooking out with his family and friends and watching the University of Texas football team. He loved his dogs, Jellybean and Bella. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed.

Nish is survived by his wife: Brenda Ortiz of Andrews, TX; sons: Darrell Collins of Houston, TX; Brandell Collins and wife Stephanie of San Angelo, TX; Christopher Collins of Andrews, TX; Christopher D. Collins of Riverside, CA; Donnie Ortiz and wife Yadira of Andrews, TX; and BJ Ortiz of Andrews, TX; daughters: Romona Collins of Riverside, CA; Angel Collins of Riverside, CA; Celeste Collins of Bryan, TX; and Priscilla Alvarez and husband Isaac of Andrews, TX; sisters: Bobbie Collins of Hobbs, NM; Mary Foster of Midland, TX; Wyvonne Williams and husband Rufus III of Andrews, TX; and Paige Conaway of Houston, TX.; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Enitchel and Charlie Lee Collins; and brothers: Will Jones; Arthur Collins; and Donnie Collins.
