Ellen Irene Coomer, 90, of Andrews passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 in Odessa, Texas.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Second Baptist Church with Roy Coomer and Debbie Mansker officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home.

Ellen was born on July 26, 1930 in Snyder, Texas to Roy Lee Honey and Janey Irene Cox. She married Olen Coomer on December 21, 1946 in Andrews. They were married 44 years until his passing on November 25, 1991. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Andrews. Ellen was saved at the age of 21 at the Cotton Flat Baptist Church in Midland, Texas. She was an avid game player! She loved playing cards and dominoes and was very competitive! She also enjoyed cooking and was the winner of the Andrews Bean Contest. Ellen was a great volleyball player in school and loved to dance the Jitterbug with her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Olen, grandson, Mark Hernandez, greatgrandson, Braydon VanZant and son-in-law, Rex Mansker.

She is survived by her children, Rodney Coomer and wife Letty of Andrews, Roy Coomer and wife Jan of Andrews, Linda McQuitty and husband Dwight of Andrews, Ellen Darlene Hernandez and husband Ruben of Needles, California, Deborah Mansker of Page, Arizona and Lana Attar and husband Nader of Walnut Creek, California, 20 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 18 great-greatgrandchildren.
