Douglas Scott Tate, 63, of Andrews TX passed away on December 3, 2021, in Andrews, Texas.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation is under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home.

Scott was born December 9, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to James Fletcher Tate and Floye Tate. Scott loved hunting and fishing. He was a hardworking man. He owned and operated Scott’s Fishing and Rental for 26 years. He loved being with friends and family any chance he could. Scott loved college football; his favorite team sense childhood was OU. He was always the life of the party, and very funny. But he was also incredibly loyal, had integrity, and was a man of his word. Scott was a loving husband, stepfather, and friend, he will be dearly missed.

Scott is survived by his Wife: Whitnee Tate of Andrews, TX.; Stepson: Karrington Kumpe of Andrews, TX.; stepdaughter: Kourtnee Jones Andrews, TX.; and 2 step-grandchildren: Kasin Kumpe and Kendrix Roberts.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents: James and Floye Tate and brother: Dennis Tate.
