Donald Wayne Phillips, Sr., 89, of Andrews passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 in Big Spring, Texas.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cody Hull officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00- 9:00 PM at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 6:00- 8:00 PM. Arrangements are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home.

Donald was born on March 25, 1932 in Brownfield, Texas to Raymond Hamilton Phillips and Georgia Rose Miller. He married Marcalene “Marcie” Standard on July 23, 1953. Donald proudly served in country in the United States Army during the Korean War. His occupation was an Electrician and a Mechanic. He could do anything with his hands. He was a jack of all trades. His favorite pastimes were fishing, gardening and yardwork. Donald’s family brought him great joy and he cherished the time they spent together. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Amber Baker, brother, Paul Phillips, and sisters, JoAnn Johnston and Georgia Temple.

Donald is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marcie Phillips of Andrews, Texas, children, Don Phillips, Jr. and wife Neva of Breckenridge, Texas, Cindy Folk of Andrews, Texas and Ricky Phillips and wife Sharon of Andrews, Texas, brothers, Jim Phillips of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Jerry Phillips and wife Reba of Mesa, Arizona, Ken Phillips and wife Loretta of Chowchilla, California, sisters, Viola Lopez of Artesia, New Mexico and Judy Taylor of Breckenridge, Texas, 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
