Carolyn Coggin, 88, of Andrews formerly of Stamford passed away Friday, February 4, 2022. The family will receive visitors at 10 a.m. Friday, February 11 at Kinney-Underwood Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held that afternoon at 2:00 in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Stamford.

She was born in Stamford, TX to Pat and Lillian Sitton. She cheered for the Bulldogs graduating in the class of 1951 from Stamford, Texas high school. Carolyn married Charles Coggin and they had 2 children Carol Coggin of Abernathy, Texas and Carl Coggin of Andrews, Texas. She has lived in Andrews for 11 years and remained an active member of the First Baptist Church Andrews where she played piano in her Sunday school class. She worshipped God with her kind words, praised him in song and music. She believed in people more than they believed in themselves. She was an avid reader.

She will be remembered by her entertaining stories, her talent with piano, her generosity to accept many into her family, her baking, her smiles and willingness to help anyone in need.

Her memory will be kept alive by her children and daughter in law Rhonda; Grandso: Matthew (and Shelby) Cornebise, Granddaughters Christin (and Sean) Donaldson, Heather Michell, Carrie (and Adam) McDonald and brother Phillip (and Pat) Sitton; Great grandchildren Gage, Jayton, Adison, Jordon, Rylon, Rowin, Breklyn, Ryan, Adam, and Issac; Great-great grandchildren James, Stormie and Adam, also, many special nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Nichole, Christy, Yvonne, Brittney and also Trena Cave of PRMC Hospice Andrews TX for their thoughtful service and tender care. They would also like to thank the special care from caregiver Elizabeth of Andrews. Carolyn started Hospice with Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene, TX, we thank in particular Tommie Jo Stone and Jason with the care there. Thank You Niece, Cara Sue Sitton a caregiver that gave her all when we really needed her.

Those preceding her in death are parents, sisters Patsy and Pat Bohannon, Peggy and Gene Hickey, Jeanie and Charles Williams and brother Ted and Gloria Sitton.
