Carla Sue Maberry Mobley passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 10, 2022 in Midland, Texas.

She was born on November 22, 1945 in Abilene, Texas to Luin and Govie Maberry.

Carla grew up all over west Texas and attended high school in Andrews Texas where she graduated a proud Mustang in 1964.

She went on to attend Angelo State University where she met and married the love of her life, Jim Mobley on June 26, 1965. They enjoyed 56 years of true devotion, believing in and living their vows, everyday.

Together they had three children, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Carla loved nothing more than being a Nana. Watching her grand babies grow was her greatest joy.

Carla was the center of her family and loved by all those who knew her. She was never afraid to share her thoughts and opinions, a quality she proudly instilled in her children.

Carla was an avid reader, known to have 3-4 books going at one time and never leaving her kindle more than an arm’s reach away. She loved old movies, especially her favorite, “Meet me in St Louis”, which she passed her love for on to her kids.

Carla is survived by her husband, Jim Mobley,

Daughter and son in law Skye and Kip Ridenour, son and daughter in law, Brian and Amanda Mobley and daughter and son in law Katie and Luke Ellis.

Five grandchildren, Justin, Michael, Easton, Cora, Avery and one great grandchild, Emily.

Brother Ron Maberry and his wife Lois as well as Numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sandra Maberry Combest.

Arrangements were made by Ellis Funeral home. The family had a private gathering in her honor.

In leu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of your choice.
