Benigno M. Mendoza

Benigno M. Mendoza, 75, of Andrews passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate his life at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Isai Garcia officiating. Benigno was born on March 7, 1945 in Porvenir, Texas to Ramon Mendoza and Julia Martinez. He married Catalina Ruiz Mendoza and they were married for 48 years. He loved his roosters, horses and goats. His roosters won countless derbys. Benigno enjoyed playing the lottery and barbequing. His family meant the world to him and he loved spending time with all of them. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Catalina Mendoza, brother, Isreal Mendoza and a loving nephew, Isreal Mendoza Jr.

Benigno is survived by his children, Norma Mendoza and husband Albert Tarango, Olga Maltos and husband Miguel, Joel Mendoza, Hilda Garcia and husband Fabian and Sandra Alvidrez and husband Robert all of Andrews, Texas, siblings, Arturo Mendoza and wife Beatrice of Hobbs, New Mexico, Teresa Sanchez of Andrews, Texas and Clara Mora and husband Jesus of Andrews, Texas, 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
