Shelba Jean Parker, age 84, of Andrews, TX., passed away August 30, 2022, in Andrews, TX.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 2:00 PM Friday, September 9, 2022, at The McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews, Texas with Brother Josh Morris Officiating. Arrangements are under the care of McNett Funeral Home.

Shelba was born November 7, 1937, in Humphrey, Arkansas to Ardell Taylor and Johnnie S. “Camp”. She married James W. Parker Sr. on August 29, 1958, in Andrews, TX., and they spent 59 amazing years together until his passing in 2017. Shelba was a woman of faith, and a member of the First Assembly of God for over 20 years. She loved to sew and make quilts, she also loved cooking and baking, especially Banana Nut bread. Shelba liked to go to Las Vegas and loved to play bingo. She was also an avid bowler. She will be missed dearly by those who knew her.

She is survived by her sons: Lance Parker and wife Renee of Andrews, TX.; and James W. Parker Jr. of Andrews, TX.; 2 grandchildren: Masumi Pritchard and husband Seth of Andrews, TX.; and Bracston Parker and wife Bobi of Andrews, Tx.; and 3 great grandchildren: Maddux Foster, John Pritchard, and Petra Parker.

She is preceded in death by her husband: James W. Parker Sr.; parents: Ardell and Johnnie Taylor; 3 brothers: Thomas Taylor; Joe Taylor; and Benny Taylor; and sister: Mary Dockens.
