Roger L. Bufler

Roger L. Bufler, age 77 passed away on Wednesday February 19, 2020 surrounded by his family at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center in Austin, Texas. He was born on March 5th, 1942 to Lester and Dorothy (Lemmons) Bufler in Hamilton, Ohio.

Roger attended Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio. After college he joined his family in the home building business. The majority of his career was in the home building business in Ohio and Texas. After a break from the homebuilding business he was a cross-county truck driver along with his best buddy, his dog Skeeter. After this part of his career Roger went back into homebuilding until his retirement .

His main priority was his love for his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and his beloved Jeb.

In his retirement he was an avid Carnival Glass collector and created beautiful stained glass. Roger loved the outdoors in all forms whether it be hunting, camping, or just gazing at God’s beautiful landscape.

Roger was preceded in death by his son David Bufler, his parents Lester and Dorothy Bufler, and his brother Glen Bufler. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Sandy Bufler, his daughter Kelley Willmann and husband Ted and his son-in-law Matt Reed. Grandchildren Regan, Reece and Rhett. Brothers Jim and wife Martha, Claude and wife Victoria, sister-in-law Marcia and sister Sharon Young and husband Jim. As well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
