Rene Trevino, 72, of Andrews passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 in Andrews surrounded by his loving family.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 201 NE Avenue K, in Andrews with Rev. Joseph Ogbonna, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery. Rosary services will be recited at 7:00 PM Tuesday at Mc-Nett Funeral Home Chapel. Rene was born on December 2, 1946 in San Diego, Texas to Timoteo Vera Trevino, Sr. and Dora Cuellar Trevino. He was raised in San Diego and Alice and moved to Andrews in 1957 with his parents, where he attended school in Andrews. He married Rosalinda Lopez on June 19, 1966 in Andrews. He had worked for 57 years for Tucker Construction in Andrews. He coached his children in baseball and softball and loved watching his grandchildren play sports. He loved to travel, fishing, camping, going to the casinos, scratch off lottery tickets, watching western movies, and the Dallas Cowboys. Spending time with his family was so important to him. He loved having his two dogs, Tiny and Whitney, with him all the time.

Rene is survived by his wife, Rosa Trevino, of Andrews 3 children, Rene Trevino, Jr. of Andrews, Rachel S. Trevino of Andrews, and Stacie Lee and husband, Marvin, of Andrews, 6 siblings, Joe Trevino and wife, Diana, of Andrews, Carlos Trevino of Andrews, Luis Trevino and wife, Margarita, of Andrews, George Trevino and Cecilia Acosta of Andrews, Eddie Trevino of San Antonio, and Rebecca Trevino of Andrews, 8 grandchildren, Rivee Trevino, Megan Castillo and husband, Robert, Corey Lee and wife, Jennifer, Jayme Trevino, Xzavior Trevino, Kassidy Lloyd and husband, Omar, Miranda Trevino, and Anthony I. Trevino, and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Steven W. Trevino, and 5 siblings, Tim, Jr., Emerterio, Ruben, Oscar, and Rosa Torres.
