Mildred Lucille “Millie” Dobbs, 90, of Odessa, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, in Odessa, Texas.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate her life at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Mc-Nett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews, Texas with Pastor Jimmy Baer officiating. A burial followed at the Andrews West Cemetery in Andrews, Texas. Visitation was held on Monday, March 13, 2023, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at McNett Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home.

Millie was born on February 15, 1933, in Big Spring, Texas to Lucien Dudley Sipes, Sr. and Lillie Mae Sipes. Millie married Evertt Perry Dobbs on August 4, 1951, in Andrews, Texas. Millie was a very colorful person, she loved music and to dance. She was an excellent seamstress and did needle work, she was super-fast, she could make a whole outfit in one night. She did not know how to relax, she kept everything clean, and in order, she was a perfectionist. She was a very good boss, she made sure everyone was in line and knew who the boss was. Millie also enjoyed cooking and working outside in the sunshine. Her grandkids would call her “Mamoe”.

Millie survived by her 2 daughters, Janie Dobbs, of Odessa, Texas and Terri Dobbs, of Rockwall, Texas; 1 Brother, L.D. “Buddy” Sipes, Jr., and wife Sally of, Midland, Texas; 2 Grandchildren, Roy Morales, III of. Crandle, Texas, and Rachel Oglesby, of Andrews, Texas; 2 Great Grandchildren, Rustin Morales, and Ryleigh Morales both of Many, Louisiana.

Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Evertt Perry Dobbs, parents, Lucien Dudley Sipes, Sr. and Lillie Mae Isaacs, daughter, Diana Oglesby, son, Eddie Dobbs.
