Michael Antonio Vasquez, age 54, of Andrews, TX, passed away, August 18, 2022, in Odessa, TX.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 25, 2022, at The McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews, Texas with Reverend Kevin Covington Officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Andrews County West

Cemetery. Viewing will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 10AM-8PM at the McNett Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care of McNett Funeral Home.

Michael was born August 31, 1967, in Andrews, Texas to Ramon Vasquez and Teodora “Perez” Vasquez. Michael was a hardworking, and true family man. He always was a great provider for his family. He loved to go camping, watch sports, and ride motorcycles. Michael was very smart and tech savvy. He was also very kind and never met a stranger. He had a very positive spirt even after falling ill in 2007 he continued to be the light to his friends and family. Michael loved to be with his family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his sons: Michael Vasquez Jr. and fiancé Nancy of Lubbock, TX; and Matthew Vasquez of Midland, TX; daughter: Mariah Elliott and husband Collin of Andrews, TX; brothers: David Vasquez of Andrews, TX; and Eddie Vasquez and wife Mary of Odessa, TX; sister: Cecilia Olivas of Andrews, TX; mother to his children: Mayra South of Andrews, TX; and 9 grandchildren: Alyssa; Anya; Zeri; Arely; Aaron; Avery; Zae; Avalynn; and Novack.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Ramon and Teodora Vasquez; and brother: Ramon Vasquez Jr.
