Maria Luisa Tapia

Maria Luisa Tapia, 74, of Andrews passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 in Andrews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 10:00 AM Friday, January 22, 2021 at La Nueva Jerusalem Church with Pastor Isai Garcia officiating. Maria was born in Villa Union Coahuila, Mexico on September 21, 1944 to Jose Zamora and Delfina Castenada. She married Carlos Tapia on July 20, 1977. She loved singing and music. One of her favorite things was tending to her flowers and plants. Maria had a big heart and loved to help other people. She loved her kids, grandkids and parents more than anything in the world. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Maria Rondon and Maryann Contreras and a great-granddaughter, Remi Grace Vargas.

Maria is survived by her husband, Carlos Tapia of Andrews, Texas, children, Joe Angel Lopez and wife Donade Lopez, Jamie Lopez, Sandra Canava and husband Ronnie and Carlos Tapia, Jr. and wife Yvonne all of Andrews, Texas, siblings, Jose Zamora and wife Gloria, Ray Mondo Zamora and wife Yolinda, Ernesto Zamora and wife Anna, Lupe Martine and husband Ruben , Rosy Garces and Maria Martinez and husband Victor all of Andrews, Texas, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
