Lydia Gonzales, 82 of Andrews, Texas passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, in Andrews.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate her life at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews, Texas with Rev. Joseph Ogbonna officiating. Interment followed in the Andrews North Cemetery. The family had a Rosary at 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at the McNett Funeral Home Chapel.

Lydia was born on February 3, 1939, in Sanderson, Texas by her loving parents Francisco and Ramona Moreno. She later married Manuel Jr. Gonzales on December 6, 1956, in Sanderson, Texas. They later moved to Andrews in 1957 where they created a loving home together. Lydia was a true loving soul that walked this earth. Her hands are wings that could create art, the voice of an angel that could sing with the choir of the angels. She was a true pure one of a kind that had an important role in our lives. She loved sewing, cooking, crocheting, and quilting; she also had a love for playing bingo. Lydia was an active member of the Catholic Church Women’s Organization. Most of all Lydia loved all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Lydia was proceeded in death by her parents, Franciso and Ramona Moreno; Brother Franciso Moreno; Husband Manuel Gonzales; and beloved granddaughter Ambera Gonzales Tuck.

Lydia is survived by her 4 children, Manuel Gonzales, and wife Rita Gonzales of Andrews, Texas, Letisia Gonzales of Andrews, Texas, Arturo Gonzales of Andrews, Texas, Lisa Gonzales of Midland, Texas, 1 sister Melina Moreno, and niece Liz Moreno of Andrews, Texas, 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great grandchildren and her beloved puppy Mia.
