For over 38 years, Lee served as District Director and Chairman of the Board for the Andrews Soil and Water Conservation District. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II.

Lee is survived by two children, Michael Niblett and wife Kris, Lea Ann Niblett Cleveland and husband Dexter, three grandchildren Elizabeth Thornton, Josh Niblett and Casey Niblett, four great grandchildren, and three siblings, Carol Niblett, Gary Niblett and Darlene Weir. He also leaves a crowd of nieces and nephews who adored him. Lee is survived by loving friend and companion, JoAnn Lamb, who brought a great deal of support and joy to his life. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Pat Hodges Niblett, a son, Terry Don Niblett, and two beloved sisters Doris and Joyce.
