Laurie Carolann Rodriguez, 53, of Andrews, Texas passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021, surrounded by her loving family in Andrews. She was greeted in Heaven by her father Harold Gene Hendrix.

Laurie was born on April 06, 1968, in Smithville, Texas to Marilyn and Harold Gene Hendrix. She was second eldest of four siblings. Laurie attended Smithville High School where she met the love of her life, Chachi Rodriguez and married on August 17, 1991. Her proudest and best moment was the birth of her son Aaron Elvis Rodriguez. Laurie could light up any room, she walked in with jokes and great dance moves. She loved her family members very much. Her son and two fur babies (Callie & Buck) were her world. She was a loyal friend who would be there for them with a lighthearted joke. She enjoyed spending time with all her family and friends.

Preceded in death by her father Harold Gene Hendrix.

Left to cherish her loving memory is her loving husband Fidencio “Chachi” Rodriguez and son, Aaron Elvis Rodriguez of Kyle, Texas. Mother Marilyn Hendrix Siblings; Pam McWilliams and husband Kicker McWilliams of Nederland, Texas, Barrett Hendrix and wife Kimberly of Smithville, Texas, Amber Perryman and husband John Perryman of Smithville, Texas, Brother-in-law Joe Rodriguez and wife Norma Rodriguez of Austin, Texas, Sister-in-laws; Lucy Malina and husband Stephen Malina of Bastrop, Texas, Diana Guzman and husband James Guzman of Smithville, Texas. Father-in-law Fidencio Rodriguez of Smithville, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing was held at McNett Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Monday September 27, 2021. Officiating at the viewing are Pastors Glenn & Eric Hammack from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

A viewing was also held at the First Baptist Church in Smithville, Texas from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 28, 2021. A funeral service followed at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with Pastor Michael Murphy officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville, Texas under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and family for lunch following the burial in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
