Lana Raye Moon, 76, of Andrews passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, in Andrews, Texas.

Lana was born on June 4, 1945, in Paducah, Texas to Tommy and Naomi Liedtke. She grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Palo Duro High School.

Lana married Robert Moon on September 3, 1965, in Lubbock, Texas. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary in September of 2015. She worked at several companies with her last two being at Lamesa Federal and Donco Chemical. Lana retired in 1996 to enjoy being a Nana to her first grandchild. She was a long-time member of the Andrews Country Club and the Ladies Golf Association. She loved spending time with her family in the mountains of New Mexico, with her last trip being Red River, New Mexico this summer. Lana also dearly loved playing Bridge weekly with a close group of friends.

Lana is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Cathy Muszynski.

She is survived by her children, Greg Moon and wife April of Andrews, Texas, Leann Taker and husband Mike of Brady, Texas, and her grandchildren Ryan Tessaro and wife Taylor of Cedar Park, Texas and Jake Tacker of San Marcos, Texas. Lana is also survived by one sister Joy Banks and husband Roger of San Angelo, Texas and nephew Jason Banks of Abilene, Texas.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Home Hospice of Andrews.
