Gary Doss Cox, 69, of Broken Arrow, OK, peacefully passed away on April 27, 2021 after a difficult battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born in Midland, TX to Billy and Nell Floyd Cox, Gary was fiercely passionate about his friends and sports from the start and dedicated his life to both his pursuit of good times and his family.

Gary graduated from Andrews High School in 1970. He graduated from Texas Tech in 1975 and was member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

After he graduated, Gary landed his first job in the oil & gas industry in Odessa, TX and then as a real estate appraiser in Houston, TX. He eventually found a career in the software industry in Tulsa, OK where he worked for 18 years. He married his first wife, Terri Luck Cox, in 1975 and they had three daughters together. Gary was a funny, kind, loving and supportive father. His knowledge and guidance were the foundation of his family.

Gary was also a passionate and enthusiastic hobbyist. He got his pilot’s license, enjoyed boating and golfing, restored a Jeep Wrangler, became a cigar enthusiast, traveled extensively, enjoyed good food & beer, was a BBQ master and loved riding motorcycles. He spent most of his retirement camping, RVing and spending time with his grandkids.

Gary was predeceased by his parents, Billy and Nell Floyd Cox. He leaves behind his oldest daughter Sarah Cox, twins Lauren (Jason) Uhrynowycz and Megan (John) Gideon. And three grandkids, Cohen and Dalton U. and Gentry G. His brother Brent (Mary) Cox and two nieces. His girlfriend Debbie Olson and many family and friends. There will be memorial at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 1st at Asbury United Methodist Church.
