Frankie Garrett
Frankie Garrett, 79, of Andrews passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 10:00 Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Glen Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home.
Frankie was born on December 21, 1941 in Dublin, Texas to Hursel Gava Miller and Billie Catherine Whitfield. She graduated from McCamey High School and has been in Andrews since 1962. Frankie was a Beautician for 30 years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she faithfully attended church and Sunday School. She was an avid doll collector! She received 30 dolls for her first Christmas when she was 4 days old. She has about 7500 in all! She was a fan of Disney and she visited Disneyland many times. Christmas was her favorite time of the year and she loved watching the Hallmark channel and hanging all of her Hallmark ornaments. Frankie could do just about anything! She enjoyed dancing, sewing, crafting, painting and all kinds of music. She especially loved listening to her grandson. Everyone loved Frankie and being around her! She really loved kids and she was a mother and grandmother to quite a few! She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her closet friend, Avonda Bruton and numerous aunts and uncles.
Frankie is survived by the love of her life, Bill Bishop of Andrews, Texas, daughter, DeDe Bowers and husband John of Andrews, Texas, son, Chris Garrett and wife Julie of Odessa, Texas, son, Mike Garrett and wife Gail of Arlington, Texas and special daughter, Tina Bruton Robinson of Andrews, Texas, grandchildren, JohnE Bowers of San Marcos, Texas, Erin Franklin of Odessa, Texas, Emily Wade of Fort Worth, Texas, Ryan Garrett of Arlington, Texas, great-grandchild, Robin Franklin of Odessa, Texas, and many special friends including, Wanda, Rita, Kim and Sherry.
