Dennis Leroy Harmon, 82, of Andrews, Texas passed away on October 15, 2022.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at a Memorial Service at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 24, 2022 at the McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy Tutt officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Mc-Nett Funeral Home.

Dennis was born in Baker, Oregon on March 21, 1940. He and his brother Ronnie were raised in a foster home in Springer, New Mexico by the Messicks. Dennis began a life as a rancher and worked on ranches in New Mexico and California. He married Nancy Secrest on December 26, 1959 in Raton, New Mexico and they started a life in ranching. He worked for LS Ranch and Mansfield UP in the Panhandle for many years. He was the ranch foreman for 34 years at Scharbuer Cattle Company in Andrews.

Dennis coached his kids and grandkids in basketball and baseball as they grew up in Andrews. He enjoyed hearing about and watching videos of his great-grandkids as they played different sports. He dearly loved his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. They were his whole life!

He had a passion for Women’s college basketball and loved filling out his bracket during March Madness. He loved spending time with his sister, Clarece Hedeman and watching Tuff Hedeman ride bulls.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, brother Ronald Harmon and grandson Cimmarron Dakota Harmon.

Dennis is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Mickey Munsell of Cushing, Oklahoma, son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kelli Harmon of Andrews, Texas , sisterin- law, Gene Harmon and family of California, granddaughter Cheyanne Munsell Lang and husband Heath of Cushing, Oklahoma, grandson, Tanner Munsell and wife Ashley of Elida, New Mexico, granddaughter, Whitney Turnacliff of Andrews, Texas, greatgrandkids, Tucker, Tatum and Tyson Lang and Reatta and Sage Munsell and many other relatives and friends that will miss him.

The family would like to than Permian Residential Care Center for their kindness and love they had for him, especially his Sunshine.
