Colten Ross Huckaby

June 12, 1993 - February 28, 2021

On February 28, 2021, our lives were changed forever. It was a day that we never thought we would see. A day that left us speechless and in mourning. It was the day that our beloved Colten went to walk with his Savior.

Colten was a loving Husband, Father, Son, Grandson, Brother, and Friend. He was a man of God. He was always ready to cut up and have a laugh with whomever was around him. He could lift up your spirits with his smile, and his laugh was contagious. He was the most happy when he was with his family and especially his son. Colten was a cowboy through and through. He had a love of music and had a singing voice like the angels above. He was a role model for his brothers and son. He touched the lives of so many without anyone knowing it. Colten’s favorite quote was by his grandfather Fred Thompson, “No matter what happens in life, No matter where the wind takes you, I’ll be by your side.” Although we are saddened by the loss of this wonderful man, we rejoice in the fact that he is walking the streets of glory.

Colten is survived by his mother Stacey Huckaby of Andrews, father Jay Huckaby ( Brittany) of Colorado City, wife Daisy Huckaby and son Cannin Huckaby of Andrews, two brothers Sawyer and Braxton Huckaby of Andrews, grandmother Elaine Thompson of Midland, grandmother Joyce Huckaby Taylor of Kingsland, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Colten is preceded in death by his grandfathers Fred Thompson, Gerald Blankenship, and Hugh Darr Huckaby.

The family will receive guests from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 8, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences may be made at www.npwelch.com.
