Charles Larry Martin, 73, of Andrews passed away Monday September 18, 2019 in Andrews.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate his life at 2:00 PM Graveside, Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 7457 W. Lake Road, Abilene, Texas 79601. Charles was born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 8, 1945 to Fred and Ann Loraine Manning Martin. His family moved to Beaumont, Texas where he graduated from South Park High School. After graduation he enlisted in the Air Force. He spent time in Vietnam in 1965, 1966, and 1967. He flew with the Black Knights of the Mekong River Vietnam, and received a Presidential Citation. After leaving the Air Force, he joined the Army Co. B Tank Battalion out of Cobb Park, Fort Worth, Texas. Charles married Colleen Timmons from Andrews, Texas in 1989. He loved Corvettes and Harleys. He and his wife road to Washington DC with the Run For The Wall group. After retirement he worked for Wells Fargo Alarm and ATM Security Nation Wide.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Charles is survived by his wife Colleen Martin of Andrews, Texas, daughter Shalina Timmons of Andrews, Texas, grandchildren, Cody Timmons, Cassie Savage Cornejo, Garrett Timmons and Nolan Timmons all of Andrews, great grandchildren, Landon, Leaden, Landrey Timmons, Luke, Paxton and Pasley Cornejo all of Andrews, Texas and a brother Fred Manning Martin and wife Sharon of Granbury, Texas.
