Catarino Jaquez Jr., of Andrews, Texas went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 2:00pm Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Andrews North Cemetery in Andrews with Pastor Jeff Chapman officiating. There will be a visitation on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the McNett Funeral Home starting at 12:00pm to 8:00pm. Please visit www.mcnettfuneralhome.com

Catarino was also known as Jr. to his friends and family. Jr. was born on August 25, 1951 in Kermit, Texas to Catarino M. Jaquez Sr. and Conrada Vara Jaquez. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. He married Sally Lopez his wife of 39 years on September 24,1973 in Andrews, Texas. Jr. was a dedicated worker and worked for over 25 years at the Andrews County Golf Course. After retirement he got to enjoy spending more time with his family and grandchildren he cherished. Jr. loved the Lord with all his heart and took comfort in singing and spreading God’s word. He enjoyed going for walks and took pride in his yard. Jr. loved watching the Houston rockets with his daughter. He also rooted for the Dallas Cowboys. Jr. was preceded in death by his parents Catarino M. Jaquez Sr. and Conrada V. Jaquez,wife,Sally Jaquez,one brother Rev. Juan Ismael Jaquez, one sister Eulalia Rhoades, and sister-n-law Christina Orona.

Catarino is survived by his son Trey and Amber Jaquez of Andrews,Texas, daughter, Angelita Jaquez of Midland, Texas, three sisters, Elida Subia, Sandy Hernandez both of Andrews, Texas, and Mary Lozano and husband Reyes of Eldorado, Texas. Also, grandchildren Cuatro Jaquez, Alexander Jaquez, Nicolas Orona, Heather Tatom, and great granddaughter, Scarlett Gunderson, and many nieces and nephews.
