Carolyn Sue Powers

Carolyn Sue Powers, 78 of Andrews, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, in Andrews, Texas.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 27, 2022, at the Andrews Old cemetery in Andrews, Texas. Honorary pallbearers will include the Andrews Volunteer Fire Department. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 6-8 PM at McNett Funeral Home Chapel.

Carolyn was born on August 28, 1943, to Robert Joseph Walker and Erie Mae Taylor in Wichita, Kansas. Carolyn married Donald Ray Powers on August 24, 1961, in Andrews, Texas. Carolyn loved to travel with her husband, they were inseparable. The highlight of her travels was going to Hawaii. Carolyn was a loving mother, she enjoyed spending time her grandchildren, they were the light of her life.

Preceded in death by, her parents Robert and Erie Walker, husband, Donald Ray Powers, brother, Jerry Walker, and sister, Lavern Duffy.

She is survived by, son, Ray Powers and wife MyLissa of Andrews, Texas, daughter, Teresa Powers of Lubbock, Texas, sister, Betty Cumbie of Lubbock, Texas, grandchildren, Mandy Taylor, Devin Powers, and Rosalyn Beamish, great-grandchildren, Dakota Beamish, Dustin Beamish, Katy Beamish, Amanda Harris, Tyler Wayne Harris, Riley Taylor, and Lukas Taylor.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to The St. Jude Children Hospital.
