Byron Kip Sanders, 72, of Andrews passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020 in Andrews after a courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate his life at 2:00 PM Friday, March 13, 2020 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Mike Pearson and Donnie Rollie officiating. Kip Sanders was born on May 7, 1947 in Abilene, Texas to Don and Rachel Sanders. He attended Andrews Schools and graduated in 1965. He attended Texas Tech University and graduated from Midwestern University in 1972. He enlisted in the US Marines and was stationed in Okinawa. Kip married Loy Cline on December 10, 1988 and have been married for 31 years. Some of Kip’s many hobbies included playing golf, deep sea fishing, old cars, and watching and reading military history. He enjoyed looking around in old cemeteries that he would come across, even stopping along the road when he saw one. He loved watching Jennifer play golf, visiting with friends and telling funny stories about his youth. Kip loved his rescue pets, Kenzie and Khloe.

Kip is survived by his wife, Loy, daughter Jennifer Schumann, and husband Brandon, of Midland, sister Suzanne Blackburn and husband Leslie, of Andrews, 2 grandchildren, Shayden and Tripp with grandbaby #3 due any day, and many nieces and nephews.
