Betty Greathouse Fe-land Sumner, 81, of Andrews, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018 in Andrews.

Family and Friends will gather to celebrate her life at 10:00 AM Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Bible Baptist Church of Seminole, 203 NW 8th Street, in Seminole with Pastor James Washburn officiating. Betty was born on October 22, 1937 in Lubbock County, Texas to Emmit Neal Mullins, Sr. and Bonnie Elizabeth Davis Mullins. She was raised in Lubbock and graduated from Cooper High School in 1955. She married Billy Ray Great-house in Lubbock, and he preceded her in death. She had worked as a cotton classer for Plains Cotton Cooperative Association. She moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1970 and returned to Lubbock in 1979. She moved to Andrews in 1984 and married Elmer James Feland on June 9, 1984 in Andrews, and he preceded her in death on December 8, 2008. She worked and retired from Furr’s Grocery Store in Andrews. She married Dale Whitney Sumner on May 30, 2013 in Andrews, and she loved to wake up every morning to see how she could give him a hard time and keep him in line. She loved to laugh and tell jokes, read, and work on adult coloring books. She had collectibles that included tea cups, roosters, chickens, and she enjoyed old county music. She loved going to church and was a past member of McKinney Acres Baptist Church in Andrews and a current member of Bible Baptist Church of Seminole. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Emmit Neal Mullins, Jr., and granddaughter, Nichole Hanna Gschwend.

Betty is survived by her husband, Dale Sumner of Andrews, TX; 4 children, Vicki Joiner and husband, Mike, of Lubbock, TX, Don Greathouse and wife, Jan, of Camden, SC, Terri Moore of Ooltewah, TN, Renell Sanders of Signal Mountain, TN; brother, Don Mullins and wife, Valerie, of Dallas, TX; 6 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; beloved niece, René Ginn and husband, Herb, of Saint Francisville, LA; 2 great-great grandchildren; and her “dog-ter”, Sadie.
