Armando Rivera Balderas

Armando Rivera Balderas, age 80, of Andrews, TX, peacefully entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 3, 2022, in Midland, TX.

Armando was born June 17, 1942, in Poteet, Texas to Armando Balderas, Sr. and Eva Rivera. He married Elida Gonzalez on June 30, 1971, in Wauchula, FL, and they spent the last 51 years together. Armando was a hardworking, and true family man. But more importantly, Armando loved God and sought to serve and honor him in many ways. He was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ on June 30, 1971, in Wauchula, FL.

He was true to his faith and loved to preach every chance he could. He loved to travel and see the world. His grandchildren meant the world to him. Armando was a cordial husband, and an incredible father, grandfather, great grandfather, and greatgreat grandfather, he will be truly missed.

Armando is survived by his wife: Elida Balderas of Andrews, TX; sons: Hector Balderas of Andrews, TX; Elias Balderas and wife Becky of San Antonio, TX; Armando Balderas III and wife Heather of Midland, TX; and Jesse Balderas and wife Nancy of Rockport, TX; daughter: Lilly Carrera and husband Edilberto of Seagoville, TX; brother: Arnulfo Balderas of Jourdanton, TX; sister: Clemencia Salazar and husband Ray of Charrlotte, TX; 13 grandchildren: Michael, Johnathan, Hector Jr., Stephen, Maritza, Priscila, Amy, Micah, Elijah, Ryder, Allison, Ava, and Jeffrey; 15 great-grandchildren: Mauri, Nathan, Naleia, Hector III, Isaac, Issela, Star, Sophie, Brylie, Arian, Guss, Isaac, Jenezis, Steson, and Statler; and 1 greatgreat granddaughter: Michaela.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Armando Sr. and Eva Balderas; 2 brothers: Eliassar Balderas, and Antonio Balderas; and 2 sisters: Florinda Cornejo, and Juanita Bermea.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Apostolic Worship Center in Andrews, Texas. He will be laid to rest at the Andrews County North Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Michael Balderas, Johnathan Balderas, Stephen Balderas, Micah Balderas, Elijah Balderas, and Amy Carrera. Visitation was held Tuesday, July 5, 2022, from 5PM-8PM at the McNett Funeral Home, and a Prayer Service was held Wednesday, July 6, 2022, from 5PM- 8pm at McNett Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care of McNett Funeral Home.
