Amelia was born January 25, 1956, in Hobbs, New Mexico to Simon Rubio and Irene “Bernal” Rubio. She married Filimon Lujan in 1981, in Big Spring, TX., and they spent 41 amazing years together. She was a woman of faith and loved her church. Amelia’s favorite time was time with her grandchildren, she was always their #1 cheerleader in everything they did in life, good or bad. She loved her family more than anything and was very protective of all her children and grandchildren. She loved to watch old movies, listen to oldies music, play games, collect roosters, and go to the casino. Amelia was an extremely loving and caring woman who never met a stranger. She was very bold and outspoken; you always knew when she entered a room. Her friendliness and her smile were the most contagious of her BIG personality. Her home was always open, and she would make anyone feel very welcome. Amelia was a faithful and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
