On the wrong side of 10 of their last 11 games, the Andrews Mustangs were in ‘doctor’s orders’ a win to not only keep the heartbeat going but for medicine between the ears.
On January 12th through the 14th, the Mustang cheer squads competed in the UIL State Spirit Championship (4A Division 1), where they placed 12th out of 76 teams.
The Andrews Lady Mustangs 8th ‘A’ basketball team grabbed a season high 55 rebounds and had 18 steals in their first game back from the break to get an easy 39-10 home win over Monahans.
Not sure how many remember outside the Andrews Mustangs baseball circle, but Coach Robert Morris’ boys were so dominant in district play last season that all nine position players plus the DH earned Superlative or first-team district honors.
