Services for Diann LaRue Schooley, 57, of Andrews were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Andrews Church of Christ. Kevin Bullard officiated. Burial followed at Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Schooley passed away Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

Diann was born May 5, 1955 in Andrews to Darla and Denzy Leatherwood. She married Lonnie Schooley Feb. 3, 1982 in Andrews.

She was a loving wife, sister, mother, nana, aunt and cousin to all that knew her and a Texas Rangers fan. She would also cheer for the Yankees if they weren’t playing her Rangers. She loved to sing, draw, read and play games with her granddaughters. Diann was a bible class teacher at the Andrews Church of Christ for 13 years. She loved history and was very knowledgeable about a lot of things, and was a teacher to all of her family.

Diann was preceded in death by her parents, Denzy and Darla Leatherwood; and one sister, Danet Davis.

She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Schooley of Andrews; two daughters, Laini Lewis of Joshua; Linzi Shifflett Cleburne of Andrews; sisters, Deana Shockley of Bryson; and Debbi Meador of Jacksboro; two granddaughters, Lexi Lewis and Lily Shifflett; and numerous of nieces and nephews.
