The game was so good nobody wanted to leave.
More than thirty minutes after the overtime period was done, Andrews Mustangs football fans were still thirsty for more.
Even though they got an extra overtime period to swallow, they wanted more—and no one can blame them.
In what will go down as one of the best wins ever, the Andrews boys rallied for a 21-13 deficit to tie the game 21-21 and force OT before beating the visiting Lake View Chiefs 29-28.
The game had everything anybody could want in a high school game.
It had excitement.
It had drama.
It had a beautiful ending.
After surrendering a 13-7 lead, Andrews had one foot in the loss column—yet found ways to overcome all sorts of obstacles.
At the end the proof was on the scoreboard and the 29-28 win was a beautiful sight for cramping bodies and tired eyes.
