Shock the world they didn’t.
Shock the West Texas football world they did.
In as convincing a win as AHS coach Ralph Mason has ever had as the man in charge of the “Black and Gold”, the Andrews Mustangs hit the Mean Green machine of Monahans in the mouth over and over until they just couldn’t respond.
Andrews won 35-25 for the signature win Mason has been seeking for his program, and the fact that it was the Loboes who took a step back when they were hit in the mouth says a lot about the AHS football team. Loud and clear—it says Andrews is not good, but very good. And getting better!
“This is more than a good win for us and we are not through,” said Mason. “This is the signature win we have been looking for. We talked to the kids all week and we talked about it at halftime, this is the win we have been looking for as a program.”
And it’s going to get better.
