Memorizing the first law of thermodynamics was on the minds of around 25 school-aged children Wednesday morning at a NW 12th St. residence in Andrews.
The physics lesson was part of curriculum used by a local home school co-op that meets weekly for group studies.
The instructor, a home school mother, reminded several groups of students the law is based on the notion energy can’t be created or destroyed.
Memorization-based studies also occur with history, science, math, Latin, geography and a history timeline included with the curriculum used by the local co-op for the past year, according to group spokesperson Colby Porter.
